Join Cakehound, the German Village Society, and Stop the Suffering for Trick or Treat in German Village on October 26th, from 12:00-3:00pm. $2 from each participant will be donated to Stop the Suffering on your behalf.
$10 per dog. This is an in person event- nothing will be shipped to participants. Reactive or handicap dog? Gather some friends and walk on their behalf.
Select local pickup at checkout if prompted. You will use your order number or name at time of check in- there are no physical tickets.
How it works:
Free street Parking is available throughout German Village and near Schiller Park.
Check in at Cakehound tent in Schiller park at the corner of Jaeger + Deshler with your order # or name: (no early check ins as several participating businesses don't open until noon!)The trick or treat route travels through German Village stopping at participating businesses where you will collect your Cakehound Howl-o-ween cookies and are encouraged enjoy each business before moving to the next stop. Route is around 2-3 miles. Dogs must be on leash, no retractable leashes!
New this year- enter to win the grand prize by collecting a stamp at each participating business. You will turn your stamped card in at Cakehound with your contact info and wait to see if you win! Cards only accepted on the day of event.
The Costume Contest:
There will be 2 prize categories: most original individual and most original group.
-Post and tag @thecakehound on Instagram or Facebook by October 31st at midnight.
-Add #howlinhound2025 n the caption as well as the category you're entering. Please only enter one category.
Winner will be personally contacted and announced Sunday November 2nd in a social media post.
Cookies: wheat flour, veg. based fat, honey, turmeric, beet, carob, spinach, spirulina.
